The 93rd annual Academy Awards ceremony may have been different than previous years — seeing that it a much smaller affair and a combination of in-person and video — but nominees and presenters still went all out when it came to their jewelry. They brought the high glamour and most certainly did not shy away from fine jewelry when they walked the red carpet at the award show.
The celebrities who attended the Oscars showered themselves with sparking gems, from beautiful earrings— like Andra Day’s 18K yellow diamond drop pair—to multi-colored rings worn by Best Original Screenplay winner Emerald Fennell and diamond rings. The event’s most blinged out attendee was “Malcolm & Marie” actress Zendaya, who wore six-million dollars worth of gems, including a customizable diamond collar with removable brooch.
From Zendaya to Reese Witherspoon, Carey Mulligan and others, everyone sparkled in diamonds.
Carey Mulligan took her two-piece Valentino gown to the next level with a ring and stud earrings. The two-tone, 15.52-carat tourmaline ring and earrings that featured tourmalines and colorful sapphires took over 760 hours to create. The “Promising Young Woman” star was nominated for an Oscar for her role in the dark comedy and the film took home the prize for Best Original Screenplay.

Andra Day, the actress and singer who was nominated for Best Actress for her role in “The United States Vs. Billie Holiday,” wore earrings that featured two square emerald-cut Fancy Vivid yellow diamonds and totaled over 12 carats. She completed the look with a chunky link bracelet and a number of rings.

Presenter Regina King walked the red carpet in a custom blue duchess satin Louis Vuitton gown that had exaggerated shoulders and neckline, all-over crystal embroidery and a scalloped hem. The actress and director, who took home the Best Supporting Actress win at the 2019 Oscars, paired her gown with multiple rings, asymmetrical diamond stud earrings in 18K white gold and a bracelet.

Amanda Seyfried‘s earrings, double-halo drop yellow sapphire diamonds, was a cool contrast to her scarlet red Giorgio Armani Privé gown. The first-time Oscar nominee, 35, and star of “Mank” wore a custom strapless tulle ball gown. She pulled her hair back into a low bun with classic finger waves, and finished the look with crimson lipstick, yellow diamond drop earrings and Stuart Weitzman heels. Seyfried was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Mank” and was up against Olivia Colman (“The Father”), Youn Yuh-jung (“Minari”), Maria Bakalova (“Borat Subsequent Moviefilm”) and Glenn Close (“Hillbilly Elegy”). The award went to Yuh-jung.

Presenter Zendaya, 24, wore over $6 million of diamonds (183 carats of yellow diamonds) with her custom canary yellow Valentino strapless gown. The jewels included a brooch and tassel collar necklace, 30-carat yellow diamond ring, a massive emerald cut diamond ring, and pear-cut yellow diamond drop earrings. “Neon Dream,” Zendaya’s stylist and image architect Law Roach said on Instagram about her look. The “Euphoria” and “Malcolm & Marie” star presented the award for Best Original Score.
