The Best Jewelry From the 2020 Emmy Awards and Similar, More Affordable Options
Even though the 72nd Emmy Awards on Sunday took place virtually, it still had a number of glamorous moments and nominees got all glammed up, showing that even they are fed up with stay-at-home style. A number of celebrities used the virtual Emmy Awards as an opportunity to wear gowns and jewels while remaining in the comfort of their homes or even backyards, in some cases.
Even without a red carpet, the pre-show and ceremony included more than a few statement moments. Here is a look at some of the night’s best jewelry looks and more affordable options.
Kerry Washington
“Haven’t dressed up in a while so had to make the most of it,” Kerry Washington said in an Instagram post that included an photo of the Little Fires Everywhere star and executive producer in a leopard-patterned Dolce & Gabbana sequined dress, paired with stunning emerald earrings.
Washington started the night in a floral strapless Oscar de la Renta gown and then changed into the Dolce & Gabbana look, which was embellished with black beaded fringe. She wore glamorous diamond and emerald earrings with both dresses.

Zendaya
Celebrity stylist Law Roach shared on Instagram a look at the stunning jewelry the Euphoria Emmy winner wore with her first Emmy outfit, a Christopher John Rogers gown. She paired the dress with a gemstone necklace that featured seven cushion-cut amethysts, eight cushion-cut rubellites, 15 round emeralds, and pavé-set diamonds, all set in 18-karat white gold. Not wanting to leave her fingers bare, she added to the look diamond rings and an emerald ring. Then before winning her Emmy, Zendaya changed into a two-piece polka-dotted Armani Privé gown, and swapped her jewelry for ones features 18-carat pink gold, mother of pearl and diamonds.

Julia Garner
The Ozark Emmy winner wore to the virtual award show a Chanel blush pink satin set, a look that she described on Instagram as “the classiest silk pajamas a girl could ever dream of.” She was also dripping in pearls and diamonds: her pearl necklace featured Akoya pearls set in 18-karat white gold; her necklace was made of grey spinels, Japanese cultured pearls and diamonds set in 18-karat white gold; a pearl diamond ring featured cultured pearls and diamonds in 18-karat white gold; and she also wore a brooch in her hair that had cultured pearls and diamonds set in 18-karat white gold.
Reese Witherspoon
With three of her shows nominated for an Emmy – HBO’s Little Fires Everywhere and Big Little Lies and Apple TV+’s The Morning Show – Witherspoon celebrated the night with her cast members in her backyard. She wore head-to-toe Louis Vuitton, including blue sapphire earrings from the fashion house that featured two oval-cut sapphires and 16 tapered diamonds, all set in 18-karat white gold.
Tracee Ellis Ross
The Black-ish nominee completed her Alexandre Vauthier gown with a collar necklace that was crafted of round brilliant diamonds set in platinum and 18-karat yellow gold.
“How fun to get dressed up!” she tweeted on Sunday along with multiple images of her in her gown and diamond necklace. “Can’t say I miss the frenetic energy of the red carpet or wearing heels, but boy do I miss a pretty dress!” She also created her own red carpet, as shown in an Instagram video she shared.
