Kourtney Kardashian’s Engagement Ring From Travis Scott Could Be Valued Up to $1 Million

Travis Barker spared no expense when it came to the perfect engagement ring for his now-fiance, Poosh creator and “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Kourtney Kardashian.

The Blink-182 drummer, 45, proposed to the reality star, 42, at sunset on Oct. 18 with a romantic display of floral arrangements and candles along the beach in Montecito, California. Following the proposal, there reportedly was a formal dinner with her family. Barker and Kardashian, as well as members of her family, have shared on social media multiple photos from the proposal and close-up pictures of the diamond engagement ring. Raphi Mahgerefteh from Allurez shared details about the ring and its high price tag.

“The stunningly beautiful oval pave engagement ring presented to Kourtney Kardashian by Travis Barker is well worth the attention it’s receiving,” he said. “It appears to be close to colorless and extremely high clarity. A family friend opened up about the couple’s engagement, telling People magazine, “It was a complete surprise for Kourtney.”

“Travis told her family that he planned to propose, but everyone was great at keeping it secret. The Rosewood is their favorite for short weekend getaways,” the insider added. “They often stay at the hotel. This is why Travis proposed there. It’s a very special place to them, but it was also easier to keep everything a secret by proposing there.”

The source also said, “She can’t wait to marry Travis. She would also love to have a baby with him.”

Kardashian’s large, oval diamond engagement ring has, not surprisingly, caused an online frenzy. According to The Huffington Post, Google Trends reported a huge increase in searchers for “oval engagement ring” since the proposal and after photos of her oval cut diamond ring hit social media.

An oval’s elongated appearance can make the wearer’s finger look more slender, and oval-shaped stones can also appear larger than they really are due to their greater surface area, HuffPost added.Kardashian and Barker have been dating since January and publicly confirmed their relationship on Valentine’s Day. She reminisced about the proposal this week.

“I can’t believe this was a week ago @travisbarker,” she posted on Instagram, along with two photos of herself lying in a pile of red rose petals and showing off her new engagement ring.

Kardashian has never been engaged or married before. She has three children — Mason, 11, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 6 —  with her ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick. Barker was previously married to Shanna Moakler but they split in 2008. Together they have son Landon, 17, daughter Alabama, 15, and stepdaughter Atiana, 22. The drummer was also married to Melissa Kennedy from 2001 to 2002.
