Jenna Dewan Shares New Photo of Engagement Ring Her Friend Nikki Reed Helped Design
Actress and dancer Jenna Dewan flaunted her massive diamond engagement ring on Instagram the same day she announced her engagement to Tony Award winner Steve Kazee.
The “Step Up” star, 39, posted on Instagram on Feb. 18 a photo of her kissing her fiance, 44, and the picture provides a close-up of her oval diamond engagement ring. She captioned the shot “A lifetime to love and grow with you…you have my heart.”
Soon after, actress and friend Nikki Reed, 31, gave the happy couple a shout-out and revealed she helped design the ring. “An honor to be a very small part of this special moment,” Reed shared on her Instagram Story. “I love you both, and all I can say is your love is pure magic.”
“And I might be biased, but that ring is gorgeoussssss!” Reed continued about Dewan’s unique ring, which features a gold band and a massive oval diamond. She added, “Steve, making this with you was such a beautiful experience. Thank you for loving Jenna the way you do.”
Dewan’s ring appears to be an “oval brilliant-cut diamond set in a yellow gold classic solitaire band,” Raphi Mahgereft, Allurez CEO and ring expert, exclusively told Life & Style. Further commenting on Dewan’s “four to five-carat” diamond, he said, “The approximate value would be between $60,000 to $85,000 depending on the characteristics of the diamond.”
The stunning bling also seems to fit Dewan’s personality. Mahgereft said, “It is believed the oval shape means you have a creative, daring, individualist spirit. The simplicity of the new ring speaks volumes.”
Kazee and Dewan began dating in October 2018 and announced in September 2019 that they are expecting their first child together. Dewan is already mother to 6-year-old daughter, Everly, whom she shares with ex-husband Channing Tatum, 39.
Hours before the engagement announcement, it was revealed that Dewan and Tatum officially finalized their divorce on January 14. They also agreed to use the app OurFamily Wizard to help with co-parenting.
Kazee and Dewan are in no rush to walk down the aisle, an insider told Life & Style. The source said, “She and Steve make a great couple and plan to be together forever, so they’re not in a rush. The wedding will be after the baby is born. Right now they’re just concentrating on … daughter Everly, and the precious cargo she’s carrying.”
This will also be Dewan’s second marriage, after eight years with Tatum, and Kazee’s first.
The couple do have a lot on their plate already, including moving into a new home.
The soon-to-be husband and wife moved into a Los Angeles home together recently and created a “warm, calm and chic” space ahead of their baby’s arrival. “Clean comfort is key: a great couch to lay on with the kiddos, as well as comfortable chairs that are also easy to clean,” Dewan explained to AllModern. “Also, round edges on coffee tables help!”
