A UK based jeweler designed a watch that has about 153 carats of diamonds on the bracelet with a flawless D color 38 carat pear shaped diamond at the center of the watch dial. Valued at $40 million, the icing on the cake is that the pear shaped diamond can be taken out and worn as a ring.

Omega has unveiled a dive watch worth $760,000. What’s special about this watch you may ask? Well, with diamonds of about 40 carats and water resistance to 1200 meters, this may well be the most expensive dive watch in the world.

A South African jeweler sources 90% of her raw material by breaking down circuit boards and other e-waste. She extracts tiny bits of precious metals like gold, copper, silver and creates jewelry out of e-waste.

125,000 year old Statement Necklaces

While dusting the fossilized remains of Neanderthals, scientists at a Croatian museum have discovered an ancient necklace that’s about 125,000 years old, made out of eagle talons. This discovery suggests that jewelry is as old as human existence.
