New York Fashion Week 2017 came to an end in September and the amazing pieces of jewelry seen on the runway drew as much attention as the clothing themselves. Oversized, bold earrings especially dominated the catwalk, with designers like Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs putting their supermodels in giant chunky hoops while fellow designer Jason Wu paired his collection with oversized crystal earrings.
“Statement earrings made a huge impact on the runway this year at New York Fashion Week,” fashion blogger Jessica Askari, also known as Stilettofashions, told Allurez. “From designers like Prabal Gurung, Brandon Maxwell and Cushnie Et Ochs, just to name a few, the mega statement earrings spoke volumes as much as the collections did. So don’t put those accessories away just yet because they’ll be sticking around. Tassels, hoops and anything with lots of stones were a big hit.”
